Integrated DNA Technolgies Workshop - Pacific Salon 6 & 7
Organizer:
Jenny Heddens, Integrated DNA Technolgies
Topic: Cloning miRNAs and other small RNAs with miRCat[tm]
Speaker: Dr. Ric Devor, Senior Research Scientist, IDT
The discovery of small, regulatory RNAs (miRNAs, piRNAs, siRNAs, etc.) and
recognition of their role in nearly all aspects of cellular processes, development,
and disease has placed a premium on developing efficient methods for studying their
expression and regulation as well as for identifying new loci. IDT's miRCat[tm] Small
RNA Cloning Kit is a straight forward, generic protocol for cloning small RNAs from
any cellular source in any species. In this workshop, Dr. Devor will present a
detailed overview of the miRCat[tm] small RNA cloning process and present results
from his research using the kit. The presentation will be followed by an open
Question and Answer session.
